About the position
Responsibilities
• In the distributed team, you will be the go-to-person for Apache Spark
• You will be part of the team developing and maintaining a financial risk modelling system for one of the most successful reinsurance company
• You will work remote with occasional business trips to Zurich once the COVID19 pandemic situation ends in Europe
Requirements
Must have:
• Experience building complex, highly scalable backend application
• Experience in numerical programming, simulations, and algorithms
• Experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, and SQL
• Experience with Python, especially with NumPy, Pandas & SciPy
• Fluent in spoken and written English
Nice to have:
• Knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud solutions
• Proficient understanding of GIT and DevOps standards
• Experience in asset management is an advantage
• Some experience with Databricks platform
