Somehow, in the back of my head, I imagined myself as an artist. Not necessarily painting, but art in general. I am also one of them and I’m passionate about art not only practising it but by spreading and learning from it. I believe that this is something called talent, you may have the talent to draw and create new things. The key is to find what you enjoy and what will work for you.
I started painting with coffee because I wanted a cheaper medium that would be accessible to all. The participants in my first workshop didn’t really believe that they could “make art” but they were willing to show up and give it a shot. I believed that if they were willing to give it a try they were going to see in a matter of an hour that they could express themselves with painting. And it worked.
My point continues to be “Yes, you can!” and they did. It was a matter of minutes before the room became silent and they were all lost in their art. That’s when I say “Do you realize you are painting?” When coffee becomes the paint it is “safe.”
