Many will certainly say that they will continue to be the same. Same attitude, probably the same interests and passions. The family may grow larger or one may discover one or the other new travel destination, but basically – so the assumption, we remain the same in our thinking.
But is that really true?
Think back 15 years: How have attitudes changed since then? And what are our priorities today compared to then? We should conclude that we have changed enormously in this period. Gradually, as a process, probably not consciously perceiving at all. I remember many things I used to do that I don’t have on the radar anymore. Instead, new activities and ways of thinking have been added.
But why is it that in 15 years we will still see ourselves as we are today? On the one hand, we simply do not know what will happen. The future is uncertain. In the other way, we as human beings often have trouble with change. Why should I change something when everything is currently just fine the way it is?
Nevertheless, change will happen. Just as it has occurred between 15 years ago and today.
This is a plea to allow change to take a relaxed approach to it. The world around us will change, we will change. Innovations will make our lives better. Let’s face it: life is about change.
