Already 5th year of IT Fooscup happened last week in Bratislava. This special event connects the world of IT with the favourite office activity – foosball.

Out of 22 teams from 15 companies, 2 teams were composed of ERNI employees.  One of our teams got through the thrilling matches to semi-finals and in the end finished on a great 4th place!

How did our colleagues like the Fooscup 2019?

I’ve had a really good time on IT Fooscup. It was a special occasion to meet so many colleagues who share my passion for foosball. We definitely improved our game since the last time we were there which meant a 4th place for us. We will for sure like to attend this event next year, but we aim higher this time.

Ivan Biacko

I really enjoyed the tournament. We had a great team with even greater spirit. Our wins kept us motivated and focused which lead us to the amazing 4th place.

This year’s IT Fooscup was especially enjoyable due to the fact that we had acquired a proper foosball table to train on and we proved we now stand a chance in this competition. We surprised everybody attending this competition regularly since we made our way to the fight for 3rd place which didn’t happen to us in previous years. We were part of dramatic matches and pure excitement. No loss could set our mood back! I’m sure that next year we’re going for a medal!

Jakub Sebok

It was a great event, well organised. I enjoyed the food, all played matches and the whole atmosphere. It was more interesting this year for me since our team was playing for medals. I think we managed to get so far because of the new football table at ERNI premises which has parameters closer to the tables used at official events like IT Fooscup. Although we eventually ended up 4th, I think it was a great success. I am looking forward to next year!

At first, I would like to say Thank You to the organizers and to ERNI that we had this opportunity again. It is very nice competition full of fun, interesting people and sport ?. I am very happy that we were able to show to the whole IT world, that ERNI can beat the best opponents and act as a strong team.

Recognising trends: An insight into regression analysis

Data plays a very important role in every area of a company. When it comes to data, a distinction is made primarily between operational data and dispositive data. Operational data play an important role, especially in day-to-day business. However, they are not nearly as relevant as dispositive data. This is because these data are collected over a longer period of time and provide an initial insight into the history or the past.
