I joined ERNI on 4 January 2021. I was positively charged up and looking forward to discovering ERNI more in the days to come. My first two weeks were filled with Onboarding sessions and meetings. While many will have a standard corporate welcome email from the HR on Day 1 upon joining a new organization signed off by the CEO, I encountered more. To introduce myself to the entire global crew I decided to make an intro post on the internal social media Yammer. Many positive replies followed, and from those, I would especially like to mention the one from the company owner and one from the CEO with a cordial welcome.

From my initial contacts with the company’s functioning and culture I would however like to highlight three aspects:

Top-Level Domain Name

ERNI uses its gtld .erni.  This gives us all the wonderful opportunity to use an email address using the company tagline @betterask.erni.  Also, the webpage has the URL www.betterask.erni.

Unboss initiative

ERNI fosters the “Unboss” initiative to keep self-responsible and motivated ERNIans who are taking part in shaping the company to take actions and responsibilities and they do not have to wait for their bosses’ approval – as long as it is aligned with ERNI’s vision and benefits.

Email Signatory

As a culture and practice, all ERNIans sign off their email without their job position – as in ERNI, everyone is unique and valued based on their contributions to ERNI rather than their rank in the organization.

On this occasion, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues who made my start at ERNI a breeze with all the remote presentations. I am truly impressed with the ONE ERNI spirit and the helpfulness that I have encountered so far. This ONE ERNI spirit will see ERNI through the Covid-19 situation as well as position us stronger in the market, with the cool stuff ERNI can deliver.
