The handshake entering the office in the morning is for me a significant part of our unique ERNI culture. A personal handshake, looking in the eyes of each other means you connect with each other. You care about her or him personally. You don’t enter a group of anonymous people, where I don’t care about the individual. I want to be connected with my colleagues, working on the same overall targets, with the same corporate values.
It has also to do with our core values trust and with responsibility. I connect with you, I trust in you personally. And I take responsibility in front of you. I don’t want to hide myself, my behavior or my results, I take responsibility for it.
Culture is the result of a mixture of behaviors, rules, structure … the mixture of the elements, some of them as the handshake quite inconspicuous, make up the overall experience. Like spices in a good meal!
