ERNI Germany

As consultants, we are used to working remotely for the customer – either from the ERNI office or from home. But none of us are used to working from home for almost two weeks straight (maybe even longer depending on the development of the Corona situation). Hence, we created a Video Socializing Series via Microsoft Teams: The Virtual Coffee Break.

The first Virtual Coffee Break took place on 17.03.2020. The reason behind this time frame: the German government is suggesting everybody – if possible – to work from home in order to #flattenthecurve .

Since most of us are now working from home, we do not see each other in person anymore… This could get very lonely in the long run and it could put a damper on our very positive team spirit.

This is why we created “The Virtual Coffee Break”. Everybody from ERNI Germany is invited to participate. But of course, the meeting is optional and customer work and meetings come first.

The Video Socializing Series is scheduled daily at 3 pm for 30 minutes. And it really is about socializing. We grab a coffee or tea, chat about anything that comes to mind, laugh, and simply create a positive spirit and mindset. Everybody is also welcome to share concerns in regards to the current situation and we discuss those concerns together.

In terms of participation, we guess that for most days around 50% of our colleagues will be able to join the Virtual Coffee Break since remote customer meetings often are scheduled around this time also.

In times of Corona, you have to be creative 🙂

Stay healthy!
