We are aware of the impact that we as an organisation have on our environment and on society: It is only together that we will be able to solve the great and pressing social, economic and ecological challenges. We make our contribution on a global level as the ERNI Group and at the local level with our national companies. Our responsibility goes far beyond what is required by law. Even when it comes to transparency and accountability.
Our sustainability goals
We are committed to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals out of environmental and economic conviction. For one, we want to leave our descendants a world worth living in. On the other hand, it is our belief that the health, technological and economic benefits will be many times greater than the investment. We are working hard to find long-term, sustainable solutions.
Our CSR activities focus on the five Sustainable Development Goals that are of particular concern to us and which we can directly influence. We report regularly and transparently on our progress, which we measure, analyze and improve using key performance indicators.
Good Health and Well-Being
We assess participation rates in health and well-being training, absenteeism rates, levels of emotional exhaustion, and the severity of workplace accidents.
Decent Work and Economic Growth
We measure participation in anti-bribery and corruption training and the number of confirmed ethical incidents such as harassment, bribery or corruption.
Reduced Inequalities
We measure participation in diversity training, the percentage of women overall and in leadership and management positions, and gender pay equity.
Responsible Consumption and Production
We measure participation in sustainable procurement training and the percentage of our suppliers that have received a CSR rating from us.
Climate Action
We track our CO2 emissions from business travel, our total paper consumption, and our total energy use.

EcoVadis awarded us a silver medal in 2024. This puts us in the top 15 percent of sustainable companies in our industry worldwide. But that’s not good enough for us. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to be even better. Our goal: By 2025, we want to be in the top 5 percent of the most sustainable companies and receive a gold award. EcoVadis has been compiling the world’s most reliable sustainability ratings since 2007 and has scrutinised over 100,000 companies to date.
Our national companies have integrated the CSR policy of the ERNI Group into their daily work. They also support local social initiatives and charitable organisations, such as through donations and volunteering.
We empower people and businesses through innovation in software-based products and services.
