How was your time at ERNI? What did you learn/gain there?

I started at ERNI in 2008 as a part-time junior developer in the last year of my university studies. From then, I had chance to join a lot of customer projects in various roles and a few internal projects as well. ERNI gave me the opportunity to continually step up on the ERNI carrier path. During the 8 years I spent in the company, I was working on projects as junior, professional and senior SW engineer, later scrum master, PO Proxy and in the last years, as Service unit leader, I was busy supporting my team members and communication with several customers. Thanks to changing customer domains like high-pressure moulding, health diagnostics, reinsurance, security and textile quality, not to mention the training from SEI, internally handled training and external training, I got a wide range of experience in the technical realm, leadership, communication and recruitment.

Regarding contacts, for 8 years, many people joined ERNI and several of them became alumni as well. With some of them, I have remained in contact, and I hope I can say that we have become friends.

Did the experiences you got at ERNI help you at the next positions after you left ERNI?

Definitely yes. As a team leader of a development team, nowadays I have the chance to contribute in building a brand-new development site of currently about 30 people, built on agile principles. Experience from hiring people for different positions, supporting the hiring of the first few people in ERO and befriending some of them, experience with supporting my team on one hand and supporting the ESK MD on the other hand – this gave me a good basis for participation in the building of new teams, especially when working on long-term stability, their sustainable high-quality outputs and most important, a good atmosphere in the company.
